Am i growing old or growing young :P

A visit to S.K.E.C.

With our autos screeching on the dusty, narrow and crowded roads of Yellandu, we set out to visit our college, SKEC- The Educational Institution for Excellence.
All this after attending Jan Pasha's marriage.

management gitta maarindaa???

Our first glance at the college popped all these questions in our brains. After a long gap of 4 years, we came to the college. There is no chance that any of the current students would know us. And there was none. At the gate, we could see a big stone with the college name carved in a shining metal.

కాలేజీ క్యాంపస్ లో( ఇప్పడు ఉన్న ఆకారంతో అయితే క్యాంపస్ అని అనవచ్చు) ఒక వైపు కళ్ళు జిగేల్ మనిపించే కలర్స్ (don't misinterpret.........I am only talking about the colourful dresses not the beauty of the girls..... babai is the best person to describe the beauty of the girls) ఒకవైపు .......... కళ్ళకు హాయిని కలిగించే పచ్చదనం ఇంకోవైపు! management ఆ గార్డెన్ కోసం ఎంత ఖర్చు పెట్టిందో తెలియదు కాని,...... the campus looks decent enough to attract new crowd. An effort worth putting.

The greenery gave the campus a pleasing look.

We proceeded to the building. The fountain there reminded us of the gatherings on August 15 and January 26th every year.It also reminded the speeches by our Principal. Dr.K.Ranganath Babu.
I can guess what strikes your mind when I mention our Princey's speech. :P
That also reminded me of the Volley Ball Trophy that CSIT students secured(for 3 consecutive years)....... Miss those moments. :(.

We were glad to see a warm welcome by Raj Kumar. I don't exactly remember if he has taught us(CSIT) any subject. The interaction was memorable.
Though were were unable to meet any of the HODs(Chinnaiah and Sandeep Chaitanya), our interaction with Raj Kumar, Jampaiah and the current Principal gave us happiness.

The room on the left on first floor was CSIT class. The classrooms reminded us of the (boring) lectures(of course few of them were very interesting especially the ones that Chitti. Prasad took. He is now in Adam's College, Paloncha).
It would have had added more fun if all our classmates were present. Anyways....... most of the memorable events happen accidentally.

Few classrooms were equipped with OHPs and projectors. During our time we used to have two projectors out of which one would work occassionally.

Library..... lots of books(donno how many of them are useful). Digitial Library is also introduced. We have seen people using it well.(They were actually orkutting....... :P). That is good....... We didn't have that freedom at our time. If I am correct, we had an access to the internet only in the final semester. 'The college standards are improving' I said to myself.

BTW:
We are eagerly looking forward for an alumni meet. We have communicated this to the Management through a written document. I am eagerly looking forward for a response from the Management.

However, the dreamland didn't change much. The environment remained the same. :P

Co-curricular:
Now the college has a good, leveled ground. During our time, the ground was so uneven that no Mathematical Equation would fit the curves. Good work done by the Physical Education Department.

Adding to our joy filled astonishment , we figured a canteen that was near ground. This isn't new I know, but what surprised me was that the మధ్హ్యన్న్ పధకం ( mid-day meals programme....) is still continuing. I never expected that the mid-day or the working lunch idea would sustain so long. (btw: I don't know the quality of the food being served now.)

Thanks to the management that they realised how canteen added life to the college. :)
Our juniors must be enjoying the atmosphere.
I could see a lot of change in the environment in the college(Well, appearances can be deceptive). Let me know if you have visited the college and do send the pics if possible.

The sollu at the canteen added more joy.......! Dilla thanks for sponsoring the drinks..... We look forward for a bigger party from you.( Remember you haven't treated us yet.

Few of our friends remembered the moments when they patrolled the land surrounding our college for wells and fruits. I do remember to have gone few times but I do not remember the companions.

All good things come to an end...... so is this visit.

I have turned a bit emotional in the end............
Excitement, Togetherness, Joy, Happiness, Astonishment,....... and finally........... Loneliness, Nostalgia....... all these feelings in a span of few hours........
Huh.......
What can thy do about time........
Thats life....... Just go on!

Hurray!!!! Its now on the wiki

Our college has a page in Wikipedia.
This is something cool.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skec

It seems Pavithran has put lot of effort to get it done.
Anyways...... kudos guys.
Hope the page gets richer in content as time progresses.

BTB:
A new building that is being constructed in the college. The design is same as that of the first buildings.
The two pictures are attached. The building being constructed newly reminded me of the OLD SKEC in which I studied :P

Reunion at Jan Pasha's wedding.

May 22nd 2009.- A dawn that many people were eagerly waiting for.
Finally the calendar showed May 22nd.

Though I had the slightest idea of how many people would be turning up, I was quite enthusiastic to meet all of my friends at once and especially in a journey.

Myself, T. Ravi, S.Ravi, Badri and Venky started at 7 in the morning from DSNR. We all set out to attend Jan Pasha's(also called as creativity) wedding with Aasia. To my knowledge, Pasha is the second person to get married (among the boys), first being Srinivas.

Though sweat was making its way from head to toe, we all were in mood of enjoyment and excitement to share our feelings, experiences that remained untouched and unexpressed in our hearts for many months.

Reached Yellandu at around 1:30 P.M.
Everyone was delighted to see more friends at Pasha's hourse. Naveen( babai or gaali), Santosh Reddy Regalla, Rakesh, Ravi Gampala(Dilla) were alredy at Pasha's house. Had a very good time at Pasha's home. Sateesh Poojari guided us all through out.

After a delicious and sumptuous lunch, we all sat for a gossip. This time everyone was deeply involved in the gossip. From childhood to current life, from six-pack to family pack( all of the remaining people have this except Santosh and Naveen), from a little bit of philosopy to practical life, from serious experiences to recent jokes in movies the gossip went on and on.......
Though all the gossip was cool, few questions like
1. When do we meet next? 2. Who is going to marry next?
were unanswered.

The laughs catalysed the digestion process and within an hour and a half made us hungry again. We decided to go college to see our campus and if possible meet some people there.

With our autos screeching on the dusty roads of Yellandu, we set out to see our SKEC- Educational Institution for Excellence.

Updates/My observations:
1.
Dilla, in spite of working in a software company, somehow managed to get 6 pack which you can notice in the pics. I Appreciate your patience of controlling your tongue. btw: I hope you are he next guy to get married. ! Am I right? [:P]
Among the remaining people(except Santosh and Naveen) struggled hard and spent a lot of money in putting up family pack.
Mind you it is not easy a task to get a family pack before marriage.

2. However,
Santosh and Naveen still maintain the same physique.

3.
Venky according to me is another potential candidate who can get married. No doubt some girl must be after him trying to get his attention. Is that true ???? !

4.
Badri: This guy has changed considerably in some aspects. A good physique. Even the way of dressing has changed. !!

5.
Ravi S: I am still unable to guess anything about this guy.

6.
Ravi T: This guy seems to be enjoying life to an extent. Enjoying his home food.

! !!! Keep rocking the same way.

8.
Rakesh: This handsome guy is trying his luck to go to the US. btw: There is not much change in you buddy.

It seemed as if such a reunion isn't possible for at least an year. Huh.... let me be clear at this instance. I am not talking about girls. Girls(CSIT) knowingly or unknowingly do not communicate their updates to the group. [:P]
@Girls of CSIT: (if by chance any girl gets to read this). Please do not take this to heart. No hard feelings please.

Honestly, the gathering for Pasha's marriage was small(but memorable).
@Absentees: I do understand the issues in getting a leave or free time.
